In the last 35+ years, the one thing that continues to motivate me is knowing that my highest purpose in life is to live in service to others. When I look back over most of my life, I realize I am happiest when helping others, from raising my two wonderful children, Candace and Matthew, to my career as a massage therapist and now as a colon therapist, owning a one-of-a-kind wellness spa in Alpharetta. I come from 4 generations of caretakers, so it comes naturally to me and has given me purpose and meaning most of my life. Being in service to others is good for the body and soul and fulfills me on many levels.
For many, the last several years have been and continue to be tumultuous and stressful, and as a result, it’s clear that more people are taking control of their health. A wise woman said, “We all have lots of problems until we lose our health, and then we only have one.” We’ve seen this play out over and over, even in my own family.
